COMPUTER ASSIGNMENT (5/4) -
1)
Make final revisions to your latest three minute story practice piece and print it out in BLACK AND WHITE (if you haven't done so already).
2) This assignment is formally due on 5/6...but if you have finished it, then please use today's computer time to print it out...IN COLOR!
Otherwise, copy the folder "YEARBOOK" to your flash drive (folder is on the classroom computer desktop OR the media-cart laptop desktop). Instructions for this week's computer assignment are found in the folder!
DIRECTIONS: See directions in folder!
Print out your finished document and be sure it has your name on it. Save this assignment to your flash drive as: NAME YRBKPIC 4-27.doc
GRADING: 5 pts. = reasonably follows directions and demonstrates problem-solving skills via the finished document; 0 pts. = does not follow directions at all AND/OR does not demonstrate any effort to independently problem-solve AND/OR does not complete assignment in class.
>When using a digital photo of yourself, be sure to take necessary precautions and protect your identity.
>When using Microsoft Word, save your file using the file extension .doc NOT .docx .
>KidPix will only function on a computer that has KidPix software. If you do not finish this at school and need to work on it at home, be sure to save your work in a format that can be used on ANY computer.
Some computer tips:
1) If you cannot see anything on your screen, make sure: a) the computer is on, b) the monitor is on.
2) If your computer "freezes," then hold down the power button for several seconds until your computer shuts off. After about 10 seconds, press the power button to turn the computer on again.
3) If you cannot see your flash drive icon, remove it carefully and reinsert it. If you still cannot see it, try another computer. If you STILL cannot see the icon, you may be having a problem with your flash drive.
4) Be sure to save your work every once in a while so that you don't lose any work you have done due to technical difficulties.
