Welcome to General Music!
General music is a class that meets once a week, like other specials (gym, art, etc.) In this class, students will work on their musicianship in a variety of ways. Starting off every class with a little singing, then moving into activities such as sight reading, playing classroom instruments, listening and analyzing music, and so much more!
We are very lucky at Village to have two vocal music teachers to help teach the 4th grade and pre-k general music classes. 4th grade students in homeroom with Ms. Altvater, Mrs. Denotta, Mrs. Courtney-Quinn, Mrs. Mendes, Ms. Redelico, Ms. Sheffield and Ms. Welsh have music class with Mrs. Amy Carter. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Carter with any questions!
Students in homeroom with Mrs. Bremer, Ms. Ferrara/Ms. Smythe, Ms. Fiumara/Ms. Wilush, Mr. Gerstacker, Ms. Haines, Mrs. Locane (pre-k), Mrs. Morales and Mr. Stevenson have music class with Ms. Kayla McLaughlin. Please feel free to contact Ms. McLaughlin with any questions!
We look forward to working with you this year!
